| I go away for a little while and find the Hospital closed to me. It must be the Cuts? I have replied TWICE to Megrs`s scandalous allegations about the poteen and they have floated off into space. The poteen? Well I made a batch but there was something wrong with it so rather than waste it, I drank it and there was a bit of time I cannot quite remember but I`ll make some more. I was Gaga with Saga in Cornwall for a week. There were three weddings three nights running but none of them were mine. Then I fell out of bed..... Its a complicated story but then what story isn`t? Why am I having such difficulty getting in and there is only the Raffia Cupboard and some bould strap wantin` to know who I am? SureI hardly know meself, the troubles I have had gettin` a foot in the door. doatie |

| What was it that Danish bint, Gertrude, said? Something along the lines of "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Hmmm. It's not my fault, madam, if you were so pie-eyed that you couldn't get your key in the lock. And whilst I do hope you didn't do yourself any serious damage, how in blazes did you fall from one horizontal position to another?! P.S. I will admit that some git seems to have double-locked the front door a couple of times so I've had to sign in occasionally when normally I breeze in an open door but not having drunk any of the allegedly dodgy poteen, I still managed to get in... | I have nothing to say on this subject. I don't want any block put on Megra's debit card. It's a nuisance having to dress in drag, but it can be worth it. |

| I'm here... Starting part-time temp job tomorrow... Thingy is beside me on her day bed, nose out of joint because of all the noise (daytime builders/night-time fireworks) and the bad weather, which is all my fault. I'm feeling the season. We're past colourful Autumn and not yet into true Winter. It's that bleurgh, grey, damp, cold misery that is Wintumn! In the absence of my debit card or even the separate mailing advising the pin number, I decided that Abbey couldn't have even mailed them (one delayed piece of mail I could consider a misfortune but two from the same source at the same time looks like carelessness). So I have had the replacement debit card cancelled and a new order placed with this card going to my nearest branch (which is only two bus rides away). With any luck and a following wind I might get this card by 17 November a mere calendar month from when the first card was cancelled. In the meantime, I have been dependent upon the kindness of strangers (or, to be more accurate, Zob and his partner) to order my grocery deliveries. Thank the fairies that I do have a cheque book in order to pay them back. _________________ Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? | Good luck with the job. Although it may be part-time and temporary, perhaps - just perhaps - it might lead to something more permanent. |

| Good luck today, Megra. I hope you are so efficient that they wonder how they ever did without you and sign you on for good. doatie |

| Is Zob a fairy, then? I'd never have guessed. Good luck with the job. Hope you like it and they like you. |

| As regards Zob, you may say that - I couldn't possibly comment. Thanks for the good wishes. Necessity drives me more than desire but it is a firm for which I have worked before. I like the people there and they liked me well enough to seek me out when their accounts manager became pregnant and invite me to cover for her. _________________ Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
