Thanks, Megra. That kindly message comforts my aged, weary bones as I drag myself to the graveside.

LIKE HELL IT DOES!!!!!!! I'M STAYING.

I've arranged, with apologies to all, to go into reverse. That means I disappear at 124 + 9 months somewhere in Germany.

Can anybody suggest suitable sins to be committed in the meantime? It helps to be interested in antiquity. Life's more interesting the older I get.

Thanks to all for kind wishes.

lol!

Thanks again to all for kind wishes. I was visiting family at just about my birthday. The cheque bounced, as was clearly intended (as usual.)

The 11th, Maggie. Just missed America Day, so a Chilean authority on St Augustine I knew long ago once told me. That's America's loss, sad to say. Have to try again, 62+ years from now.

Re St A. I like that comment: 'Make me chaste and continent, but not yet.' In front of a class of theologians (Orthodox), I once said 'in-continent' by mistake, a slip of the tongue. At least it was only my tongue that slipped.

lol!
